The Midwest Athletic Conference is an OHSAA athletic league located in west-central Ohio formed in 1972. It is one of the most competitive athletic conferences in the state of Ohio. Former Ohio State Running Back Chris "Beanie" Wells had stated, "The MAC should have its own division." after seeing 3 of the schools win state football championships in one year. (Coldwater, Minster and Marion Local in 2014). It maintains a rivalry with the Western Buckeye League which is composed of bigger schools.

State championships
The Midwest Athletic Conference has proven to be one of the most competitive in the state of Ohio. Since the inception of the conference in 1973, 125 member teams have been crowned state champions. All 10 MAC members have all won a team state title.
